Personal X and γ radiation dosimeter manual

BS2010 is a portable multifunctional instrument witch used to Personal Radiation Monitoring. It is right for the person who engaged in isotopes and radiation equipment. The instrument can measure both the dose equivalent rate and dose equivalent.   Users can set alarm threshold accord to their requirements. The use of the instrument is greatly expanded by adding the function of measuring absorbed dose. Therefore BS2010 is widely used in environmental protection, health, metallurgy, testing and other industries.

Check the instrument’s appearance to make sure it remains intact after users get the instrument.

The instrument has three keys, witch are, form left to right, POWER, SET and MODIFY.

Long press POWER key for three seconds, when hear buzzer sounding, release key, the instrument turned on. Long press POWER key for three seconds, the instrument turned off.

Measurement mode is shown in Figure 1:

In measurement mode, absorbed dose rate updated once every two seconds. Press POWER key, light on backlight for 10 seconds. Press SET key, enter dose mode. Long press SET for 3 seconds, enter main menu mode.

Dose mode is shown in Figure 2:

In this mode, press SET key, enter measurement mode. Long press SET for 3 seconds, enter main menu mode.

Main menu mode is shown in Figure 3:

In this mode, press POWER key, return to measurement mode. Press SET key, select different menu. Long press SET for 3 seconds, enter the select menu.

Main menu mode is shown in Figure 4:

In this mode, press POWER key, return to main menu mode. Press SET key, select different clock parameters. Press MODIFY key, modify the select clock parameter.

Parameter menu mode is shown in Figure 5:

In this mode, press POWER key, return to main menu mode. Press SET key, select different parameters. Press MODIFY key, modify the select parameter.

Dose clear menu mode is shown in Figure 6:

In this mode, press POWER key, return to main menu mode. Press MODIFY key, select if clear dose&nbs******bsp;not. If choose “YES”, press SET key to clear dose,&nbs******bsp;press SET key not to clear dose.

Contrast menu mode is shown in Figure 7:

In this mode, press POWER key, return to main menu mode. Press MODIFY key, set the LCD contrast. Number 0 to Number 6 display in middle of LCD means different LCD contrast. Number 0 stand for LCD contrast is low, while number 6, LCD contrast is high.

There are four kinds of alarm functions: ultra-absorbed dose rate threshold alarm, dose alarm, overload alarm and automatically shut down alarm.

When absorbed dose rate the instrument measured is larger than alarm threshold which the user set, ultra-absorbed dose rate threshold alarm will occur, the buzzer sounds to reminder user. At this time, press MODIFY used for function alarm silence.

When the dose equivalent for each additional 1mSv, the buzzer will beep 5 times a row to remind users

When the place’s absorbed dose rate is out the range of the instrument itself limit, the instrument will turn off the power for the detector to avoid equipment damage, simultaneously the instrument sends out the warning, the measuring condition sign place demonstration “FFFF” (Figure 8). Five seconds later, the instrument re-supplies power for the detector, the instrument into the normal working condition if the overload state eliminates.

The battery capacity icon reaches “empty” expressed that the battery capacity is insufficient, at this time the user should charge the battery promptly. When the battery capacity is excessively low, the instrument will close down automatically, simultaneously sends out the warning sound to remind user.
