The conversion of Methanol to Olefins (MTO) is fast gaining momentum as an alternative a
pproach to the production of light olefins (ethylene and propylene) over conventional meth
ods such as naphtha steam and fluid catalytic cracking. Already commercially v
iable in Chin
a, MTO offers low costs of production by utilizing the abundant supply of methanol feedst
ock produced from natural gas and coal. However, catalysts used during the MTO process
are susceptible to deactivation by certain impurities in the methan
ol feedstock. Major elem
ents such as calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium present in methanol can interfere
with catalytic activity during the MTO process.

For labs hand领 organic solvents, the presence of the flame of an FAAS is a concern, req
uiring constant supervision. Agilent 4200 微波等离子体原子发射光谱仪
