- Reference Solar Cell and MeterReads calibrated sun irradiance and temperatureEasily integrated with I-V Test StationThe Reference Cell, which is an integral part of solar simulatorcalibration and solar cell I-V characterization, consists of areadout device and a 2 x 2 cm calibrated solar cell made ofmonocrystaline silicon. The cell is also equipped with athermocouple assembled in accordance with IEC 60904-2. TheReference Cell comes with calibration data taken by NREL, on anaccompanying certificate. It reads solar simulator irradiance in"sun" units; one sun is equal to 1000 W/m2 at 25 °C and Airmass1.5 Global Reference. This tool's primary use is the testing ofphotovoltaic cells under standard conditions.
