Synthesis and Micellar Characterization of Amphiphilic Diblock Copolymers Based on Poly(2-ethyl-2-ox
- Amphiphilicdiblockcopolymersweresynthesizedbasedonpoly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline)(PEtOz)asahydrophilicblockandaliphaticpolyesterssuchaspoly(L-lactide)(PLA)orpoly(-caprolactone)(PCL)asahydrophobicblock.Theirmicellarcharacteristicsinanaqueousphasewereinvestigatedbyusingdynamiclightscatteringandfluorescencetechniques.Theblockcopolymersformedmicellesintheaqueousphasewithcriticalmicelleconcentrations(cmcs)intherangeof1.0-8.1mg/L.Thecmcvaluesbecomeloweruponincreasingthelengthofthehydrophobicblock.Themeandiametersofthemicelleswereintherangeof108-192nm,withanarrowdistribution.Ingeneral,themicellesizeincreasedasthehydrophobicPLAorPCLblockbecamelarger.Thepartitionequilibriumconstants,Kv,ofpyreneinthemicellarsolutionsoftheblockcopolymerswerefrom1.79105to5.88105.ForeachblockcopolymersystemofPEtOz-PLAorPEtOz-PCL,theKvvalueincreasedasthelengthofthehydrophobicblockincreased.Thesteady-statefluorescenceanisotropyvalues(r)of1,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-hexatriene(DPH)were0.265-0.284inPEtOz-PLAsolutionand0.189-0.196inPEtOz-PCLsolution.TheanisotropyvaluesofPEtOz-PLAswerehigherthanthoseofPEtOz-PCLs.Theanisotropyvalueswereindependentofthelengthofthehydrophobicblockwhenthechemicalstructuresofthehydrophobicblockswereidentical.ThemicellesunderwenthydrogenbondingatpH<3.5withpoly(acrylicacid),whichproducedpolymercomplexprecipitatesthatcouldbereversiblydispersedasmicellesatpH>3.8.[详细]
