  PolyacrylateglueproteinanalogsofthegluesecretedbyPhragmatopomacalifornica,amarineposynthesizedwithphosphate,primaryamine,andcatecholsidechainswithmolarratiossimilartothproteins.AqueousmixturesofthemimeticpolyelectrolytescondensedintoliquidcomplexcoacervneutralpH.Wetcorticalbonespecimensbondedwiththecoacervates,oxidativelycrosslinkedthrosidechains,hadbondstrengthsnearly40%ofthestrengthofacommercialcyanoacrylate.Theuniqpropertiesofcomplexcoacervatesmaybeidealfordevelopmentofclinicallyusefuladhesivesandbiomaterials.[详细]
