We are excited to share the groundbreaking research on the mechanism of egg fertilization published in Cell that had stumped the scientific community for more than 40 years. This work explores the ZP2 subunit oligomerization, a protein essential for fertilization, by multiple orthogonal technique including SEC-MALS. The miniDAWN MALS and the OptiLab dRI detector helped validate the molecular weight of the ZP2 subunit in its intact (pre-fertilization) and cleaved (post-fertilization) states.
