The accuCap electrodes use a single pore capillary reference junction, about 200 times larger than typical ceramic junctions. The unique junction design provides increased electrolyte flow, resulting in greater contact between sample and reference, ensuring fast, stable readings. The double junction design offers enhanced performance. A diffusion barrier separates the AgCl reservoir from the reference electrolyte, allowing the use of silver-free electrolytes and preventing AgCl loss due to temperature variations. The end result is an extremely stable reference potential, providing long electrode life.
