Calibrations on pipettes, dispensers and graduated cylinders are performed per the procedures in ISO8655 using a precision pipette accuracy tester. Before testing, the valves and seals on pipettes and dispensers are tested for integrity using a leak tester. Variable pipettors and dispensers are measured at 3 points at 10, 50 and 100% of the maximum value. Fixed pipettors and dispensers are measured at the nominal value. Evaluation of the unit under test is done for dispensed volume and the coefficient of variability (CV) value.
