SupertechGraphitizedcarbonblackmaterialisnon-porous,whichispreparedattemperatures>2500°C,resultinginhighlypureproductsthatensureeffectiverelease/desorptionofanalytesofinterest.Carbonsurfacecomprisedofhexagonalringstructures,interconnectedandlayeredintographiticsheets.Extremeaffinityfororganicpolarandnon-polarcompoundsfrombothnon-polarandpolarmatriceswhenusedunderreversed-phaseconditions.Itexhibitshydrophobicsurfacecharacteristics,meaningthatsmall,polarmoleculessuchaswaterarenotadsorbed,allowingthemtobeeffectivelyusedtotraporganiccompoundsdespitehighhumidity.Moreover,itssurfaceareaisabout100m2/g,soitcanbeusedforremovingpigmenteffectively,whileitcanprovidehighrecoveriesofanalytes.Independentinvestigatorshavefoundsupertech-Carbextremelyusefulfortherapidsamplepreparationofover500pesticidesfromvariousmatricesincludinggroundwater,fruitsandvegetable.
