Rack too late or remove too many suspended solids, and end up causing fermentation in the clarification tank, slowing down fermentation, and reducing yeast viability.

The infrared sensor probe detects changes in density and sends the reading to the portable handheld meter. The probe has an integrated cable in either 20- or 50- ft lengths with bright-yellow depth markings for high visibility. Additionally, the stainless steel probe housing and polyurethane-coated cable are rugged, easy to clean, and made of USA FDA compliant materials.

The battery-operated portable meter has an IP67 weatherproof housing and easily accepts replacement probes. The ergonomic design fits in one hand or hangs on the fermentation tank. The integrated reel also helps to keep the probe cable tidy when not in use or taking shallow measurements.
