Desiccator has a chemical-resistant polypropylene body, polycarbonate cover, and neoprene O-ring for a secure seal — use grease on the flange to make the unit completely airtight. The polypropylene desiccator plate allows a proper working height for samples and desiccant placement below.
The clear polystyrene, 100-mm diameter, desiccant-filled discs fit perfectly at the bottom of the desiccator. Visually inspect whether the silica gel requires recharge — desiccant color changes from blue to pink as it absorbs moisture. Regenerate desiccant by heating discs in a 122°F (50°C) oven overnight.
