These earth-friendly sampling spoons are durably constructed with PLA (polylactic acid) resin. PLA is a 100% plant-based material which contributes less greenhouse gasses from source to resin than its petroleum-based counterparts. Using annually renewable resources with little environmental impact, these spoons offer a low carbon footprint, are biodegradable, and can be disposed of through industrial composting, incineration, land fill or recycling. They are comparable in strength and durability to polystyrene, polypropylene and other plastic resin sampling tools. Nonsterile.
