Receptacles are non-magnetic and will not carry a charge, and will never rust or corrode. Defenders® step cans comply with OBRA Regulations and OSHA standards for the safe containment of infectious waste. All models are fire safe and self-extinguishing and California State Fire Marshal listed (except model C-47580-06). Square models are standard with poly bag retainer bands that can be used in conjunction with galvanized steel and rigid plastic liners, and also have a piano hinged lid restraint mechanism to protect walls and equipment. Round models come complete with vinyl base rings that protect floors and reduce noise. Replacement plastic liners are also available separately.
