Collection broths play a critical role in the success of an environmental monitoring program. HiCap™ neutralizing broth is the first collection broth developed specifically for use in the food and beverage industry as an alternative to traditional collection broths. The polyurethane sponges included with each bag are nontoxic and do not contain biocides. Unlike the “wet” cellulose manufacturing process, there is no need to include biocides to control microbial growth during the polymerization process.

Model 00649-93 includes a polypropylene probe handle so you can collect surface samples without touching the sponge.

Ideal for collecting environmental surface samples without touching
the sponge. The bendable polypropylene handle allows maximum
contact of the sponge with the sampling surface and also helps
with the collection of hard-to-reach surfaces, around corners, and
irregular shaped areas. The innovative twist-off head holds the polyurethane
sponge securely but is quick and easy to remove from the
handle once sample collection is completed.
