Spillproof Heating Mantles feature a hemispheric interior and a funnel-shaped cavity with a base opening. Unique design accommodates a wide variety of flasks and 60º funnels. Models 36101-series have a corrosion-resistant stainless steel liner that gives electrical and mechanical protection against spills. Models 36104-series include a safety earth (ground) screen to provide operator safety.
Maximum temperature is 842°>F(450°>C). Ceramic fiber insulation keep the chemical-resistant polypropylene case cool. Built-in power controller has dial markings from 1 to 10 for repeatability. Mantles feature indicator lights for "power on" and "heater on". All mantles (except 5000-mL models) include a single support rod clamp that accepts a 1/2" rod.
