The Cole-Parmer® PolarSafe® stainless steel liquid nitrogen (LN2) refill tanks feature a unique design ideal for cryopreservation applications. The tanks are self-pressurized utilizing pressure generated from the vaporization of small amounts of LN2 within the tank. This pressure allows for the discharge of LN2 to other containers. This unique design is more stable compared to traditional backup systems due to the reduction of intermediate pipe connections. These tanks also feature a lower working pressure, making them safer to use.
