  FabricationandcharacterizationofhydrophobicPVDFhollowfibermembranesfordesalinationthroughdirectcontactmembranedistillationDeyinHou,JunWang,DanQu,ZhaokunLuan,Xiao极ngRenThemixtureofinorganicsaltLiClandsolublepolymerpolyethyleneglycol（PEG）1500asnon-solventadditivewasintroducedtofabricatehydrophobichollowfibermembraneofpolyvinylidenefluoride（PVDF）byphaseinversionprocess,usingN,N-dimethylacetamide（DMAc）assolventandtapwaterasthecoagulationmedium.ComparedwithotherthreemembranesfromPVDF/DMAc,PVDF/DMAc/LiClandPVDF/DMAc/PEG1500dopesolution,itcanbeobservedobviouslybyscanningelectronmicroscope（SEM）thatthemembranespunfromPVDF/DMAc/LiCl/PEG1500dopehadlongerfinger-likecavities,ultra-thinskins,narrowporesizedistributionandporousnetworksponge-likestructureowingtothesynergisticeffectofLiClandPEG1500.Besides,themembranealsoexhibitedhighporosityandgoodhydrophobicity.Duringthedesalinationprocessof3.5wt%sodiumchloridesolutionthroughdirectcontactmembranedistillation（DCMD）,thepermeatefluxachieved40.5kg/m2handtherejectionofNaClmaintained99.99%withthefeedsolutionat81.8Candthecolddistillatewaterat20.0C,thisperformanceiscomparableorevenhigherthanmostofthepreviousreports.Furthermore,a200hcontinuouslydesalinationexperimentshowedthatthemembranehadstablepermeatefluxandsoluterejection,indicatingthattheas-spunPVDFhollowfibermembranemaybeofgreatpotentialtobeutilizedintheDCMDprocess.[详细]

  Effectofadditivesonthefabricationofpoly（vinylidenefluoride-co-hexafluropropylene）（PVDF-HFP）asymmetricmicroporoushollowfibermembranesLeiShi,RongWang,YimingCao,DavidTeeLiang,JooHwaTayTheeffectsoftwotypicaladditives,lithiumchloride（LiCl）andglycerol,onthefabricationofpoly（vinylidenefluoride-co-hexafluropropylene）（PVDF-HFP）asymmetricmicroporoushollowfibermembraneswereinvestigatedintermsofmembranemorphology,structure,permeationperformance,hydrophobicityandmechanicalproperty.Theadditionoftheadditivesintothedopesolutionalteredthemorphologyandstructureoftheresultantmembranes,whichwasbelievedtobeassociatedwiththechangeofthethermodynamicandkineticpropertiesofthesysteminthephaseinversionprocess.Themembraneswithimprovedpurewaterpermeability（PWP）from6.908×105（7）to4.835×104（49）,3.256×104（33）and5.003×104L/hm2Pa（51L/hm2atm）wereobtainedwhen2wt.%LiCl,4wt.%LiCland10wt.%glycerolwasusedastheadditive,respectively.Amongthese,themembranemadefromthedopecontaining4wt.%LiClpossessedthehighestretentioncapabilityof40kDamolecularweightcut-off（MWCO）.TheLiClorglyceroladditionintothepolymerdopealsomadethemembranesexhibitanarrowporesizedistribution.Moreover,themembranehydrophobicitywasaffectedlessbyLiClandglycerolthanbypoly（vinylpyrrolidone）（PVP）.Theadditionof4wt.%LiClintothedopecouldformthemembranewithfourtimesstrongerstrainstrengththanthepoly（vinylidenefluoride）（PVDF）commercialmembranewhilekeepingsimilarrigidity.[详细]
