2020年QSense在线用户会议邀请函

尊敬的老师:

 

        2020年是非同寻常的一年,一场突如其来的COVID-19大流行使我们不能相聚在一起,但我们依然可以充分利用这个特殊时期,分享经验,互相启发,让这一年成为一个学习、思考和知识交流的好时机。


       耗散型石英晶体微天平(QCM-D)技术是由瑞典科学院和瑞典工程院院士、瑞典查尔姆斯理工大学Bengt Kasemo教授发明的一种强有力的界面分析技术。此技术已经在生物材料、高分子、摩擦润滑、海洋防污和腐蚀、纳米科学与技术、生物传感、生物分子相互作用、细胞与膜生物学、环境水处理、环境毒理、矿物浮选、锂离子电池、储能材料、食品与包装、提高石油采收率等诸多领域获得广泛的应用。

       为了更好地应用QCM-D技术,了解其ZX进展,同时为了让更多的人能够方便地参加我们的用户交流活动,瑞典百欧林科技有限公司定于10月26日至29日举办2020年QSense在线用户会议。我们荟聚了多位QCM-D领域的知名教授,设置了有趣的话题、讨论和培训环节。我们诚邀您届时进入我们的网络研讨会,一起聆听专家们的精彩演讲、参与讨论和在线培训。

Professor Nam-Joon Cho
Nanyang Technologial University, Singapore

The important work of Professor Nam-Joon Cho and his team has truly advanced translational research. Using engineering approaches has been proven successful in solving challenging biomedical problems and to combat infectious diseases. By creating artificial membrane and tissue platforms to probe biological systems, they can translate the findings into enhanced therapeutic and drug delivery options that more effectively target infectious diseases, inflammatory disorders, and cancer. You will hear Professor Nam-Joon Cho on Emerging Approaches to Fabricate Supported Lipid Bilayers: Moving Beyond Vesicles.

Professor Bengt Kasemo

Who would be a better guide to the story of QCM-D technology than the inventor himself? Meet Professor Bengt Kasemo, Professor of Physics at Chalmers University of Technology and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Science. Once co-founders of QSense, now passionate Professor putting the technology into perspective for you. Professor Fredrik Höök
Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden

 

In his research, Professor Fredrik Höök has been focusing on the development of surface-based bioanalytical tools, such as QCM-D, localized SPR and more recently TIRF microscopy. He was one of the inventors of the QCM-D technology and co-founder of QSense in 1996. Today, he puts his mind and effort into new methods with single molecule sensitivity for studies of membrane proteins and virus infection. He will share the latest research from his group of Biological Physics at Chalmers University with you.

PhD Paul Kirkman

Professor Ralf Richter
University of Leeds

Professor Ralf Richter is an Associate Professor at University of Leeds. He is aiming to understand the mechanisms of assembly and function of soft biological interfaces. Resolving how these systems work provides new approaches to prevention, diagnosis and treat disease, and inspiration for the design of new functional materials. He took his Master of Science in Physics at Chalmers University of Technology with the Master's Thesis Project on QSense. So when it comes to QCM-D technology, he knows his way.

Dr Fredrik Andersson 
Nouryon

Want to know more about the role of QCM-D in research and development? We know who to listen to. Fredrik Andersson is a Scientist and Project leader for Global R&D at Nouryon, with a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Gothenburg and wide experience in QSense applications. In his lecture The Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation Method as an Effective Screening Tool in Surface Science Application Development he will explore the possibilities of QCM-D in R&D.

Professor Barbara Jachimska
Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry,
Polish Academy of Sciences

Barbara Jachimska is a Professor at Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow. Amongst her research topics you can find characteristics and stability of colloidal and bio-colloidal systems. Sounds interesting? We think so too.

Dr. Sivashankar Krishnamoorthy
Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology

Dr. Sivashankar Krishnamoorthy has 15 years of experience in development of advanced nanotechnologies. The interest of his research group centers around fabrication and investigation of nanometer scale structures, engineering properties based on rational design principles, and their exploitation within functional devices, materials and interfaces. Developing successful nanotechnologies for biomedical applications is currently in focus. Hear him tell the story.

AstraZeneca

Dr. Gustav Emilsson at AstraZeneca is working with a novel extended release and liver protecting coating of drug nanocrystals providing prolonged exposure of drug following intravenous administration. How he does it? Using QCM-D.
