Purpose

To conduct low temperature torque test

Application

This testing method indicates the tendency of various greases to offer resistance to the rotation of bearing at low temper-ature below zero degrees Celsius. These specifications are used mainly with aviation applications and for equipment which work in sub zero environment. This unit does not come with a built-in refrigerating system. Liquid Nitrogen is re-quired to cool sample to test temperature. A PID controlled heater keeps the sample under test at the required tempera-ture.
